Booked this hotel direct with Total at full price about 5 weeks prior to travel as there was virtually nothing left in Lech for our travel week. I was worried after reading a recent review as it was an expensive holiday. Total website did say it was 'new to Total' while other clearance sites said it was simply 'new'.
However, we had no need to worry, the whole trip was great. The staff were friendly, the food was great, and we met plenty of other happy guests. It helped the snow was fantastic and the town is a gem.
The decor in the hotel is a little dated but more in keeping with traditional Austrian, and the rooms were spacious and warm. The ski bus stops literally at the door making access to all the ski areas easy.
We enjoyed the holiday immensely and our 18-year old son wants to go back next year. I believe that you get out of a chalet holiday what you put in, and although a chalet hotel offers more than just a chalet, it shouldn't be confused with a four star... more
