Villalaba
Two of the best weeks we had in 2008 was on the beautiful island of Lampedusa. Recommended by friend who lived in Italy, we took on long journey from Copenhagen Denmark, with our baby 8-month-old daughter. To find a place was a bit tricky, Lampedusa is mainly a holiday destination for Italians, who seems to like to have this jewel for themselves.
We went in late April early May before the season starts, that was a good choice, ok it is a bit cold to swim in the ocean, but still possible.
But the real struck of luck was that we decided to stay almost two weeks at the Residence Villalba. We had some problems with reservation and to transfer money. But this place was wonderful, Guieseppe and his family, was perfect hosts, despite we speak no Italian, and their English was a bit rusty – it did not matter.
