My two days at Knight Inlet Lodge rate higher than any other 48 hours of travel. This includes all continents, trekking in the Himalayas, crossing the Andes, an idyllic Carribean island, a year living in the Mediterranean, 5 years living and travelling in SE Asia, and the privilege of being raised in a very beautiful part of rural New Zealand.... Imagine if you will a magical place where you can walk through one of the last remaining temperate rainforests in the world; where the air is as fresh as a cool mountain breeze; and where evergreens are so tall they seem to touch the sky. Imagine a place where a splash could mean an otter family is playing nearby, an... More

We heard 3 days before we were due to go that the lodge had burnt down and we would not be able to stay there, we awaited to hear alternative plans from our travel agent, we were so upset as our whole trip had been planned around Knight's Inlet. The morning we were due to drive to Campbell River we... More

Just spent 29 and 30 Sept with the KIL staff, and want to thank you, particularly Paul, John, Dean and Harold, for a brilliant couple of days. Seeing all the grizzlies was so special .... and I'll never eat salmon in the same way again! The attitude of everyone about the events of the last few days since the fire... More

Knight Inlet is set in a truly wonderful scenic isolated location. The scenery is fantastic as you fly in to land in your float plane into the fjord. The the fun begins - this is a true adventure boot camp where you do not get a moment to rest and it feels as though the team are pressurised to make... More

It is true that we have a very active program for our guests as our goal is to have them experience as much of our wonderful area as possible. Depending on the time of year dawn can be very early on the coast of British Columbia, far earlier than in Africa, so we use 7:30 Am as our departure time... More

We travelled to Canada primarily to see Grizzlies and picked Knight Inlet which included the opportunity to also travel on a floatplane. We were on a 3 week trip and had never been to Canada before , also had not been on pure wildlife spotting trip before. Our arrival by floatplane was spectacular and was smoother with the landing than... More

We spent two nights at the lodge, with a hectic programme of events around the cove. The food is very good, the accommodation excellent. The best is the tranquility of the place, with splendid scenery. Early morning visits to the estuary, kayaking, visiting the salmon runs to see the grizzly bears, and the coastal waters for black bears in abundance.... More

We were 2 couples that booked 3 nights a year in advance. We decided to stay for 2 nights in Herons Landing first, as there was a lot to do there. Glad we did. Loved the hotel, staff were awesome, and we had a fantastic day tour with Hurricane Jack. We were up early to get our flight to Knight... More

We are sorry to hear that you found your bed uncomfortable at our lodge. This is not a comment we had heard previously. All of our beds are newer and of good quality but our staff will check your particular bed to see if there is a problem. The towels at Knight Inlet Lodge are new in 2012 and of... More

We made our reservations a year in advance and spent 5 days there from 09-05-12 to 09-00-12. Let me echo what a lot of said. The staff, food and organization are indeed remarkable. We have visited a number of similar locations from fishing lodges to those in national parks and this is the best. This is not a place to... More

I suppose part of my frustration and disappointment with our three nights at Knight Inlet was the result of it being last in our trip, after absolutely magical experiences at Churchill Wild's Seal River in Manitoba (polar bears and beluga whales) followed by Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. But the bottom line is, this Lodge has everything going for it, and it's... More

The staff and management of Knight Inlet Lodge are vey sorry to hear that one of our guests did not did not enjoy their stay at our lodge. However we are a family destination that caters to all demographics. We are not an elitist destination reserved solely for the very wealthy. Our track record speaks for itself. More
