I stayed here with my wife as part of walking tour of the Ronda area. The real drawing card with the Don Miguel is that it has the best location in all of Ronda. Ronda is famous for its deep and picturesque gorge and the Puente Nuevo (the "New Bridge) that crosses from the old town to the new town.... more
Fantastic hotel in a great little place. Whilst we were unable to get a hotel with views it was still a great place to stay - very clean and tidy in a big room and a large bathroom. We had dinner at the excellent restaurant at the hotel which is highly recommended. Parking was also available for 9 euros though... more
We loved this hotel! Our room was large, almost like a suite. We had two twin beds on the left side of the room whose large window gave us a spectacular view of the gorge, and another twin bed on the right side of the room where there was a smaller window which also looked out to the gorge. The... more
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. Rooms clean, comfortable with a fantastic view of the gorge. Had hair dryer, good shower, AC was good. Staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was very good and breakfast spread included and good (good coffee). At $80euro/double in July, location can't be beat. Made reservation by emailing hotel... more
This hotel had the best location even more than the Parador. The hotel is located right on the ravine/bridge and has a fantastic restaurant. The staff was wonderful in the restaurant. The parking situation is not so great and it is really crowded on the streets in the day time. The hotel however was very clean and was fun to... more
We stayed in the Don Miguel for five nights during a one week trip to Spain. Our double room (not a double bed, but two single beds) was cramped, humid and dark. There was a dehumidifier in the corner that did little to remove the moisture after a shower. The bathroom was small with a moldy shower curtain. I requested... more
Stayed at the Don Miguel for one night half board during a tour of Spain. We arrived, parked our car up in a small area at the front of the hotel and checked in. Our car was taken and parked for us in a garage just around the corner (at a cost of 9 euros per night). We got our... more
We spent one night at the Don Miguel during our self-drive around Andalusia, and after the initial disappointment for not getting a room with a view, we actually enjoyed our stay and left fully satisfied. The hotel could not be better positioned, right by the famous New Bridge, in a small square opening onto the gorge. The property occupies a... more
Other reviewers are right - the views from the Hotel are great, the location is prime, and the prices are reasonable. That said, I would choose another hotel in Ronda. Having traveled extensively in Andalusia, I'd say this hotel offers below-average amenities for a 3* in its price class. - Beautiful breakfast room, but with a very low-quality breakfast offering.... more
