My husband and I recently returned from a 9-night trip through Andalusia, staying at the Parador de Ronda for two nights (Nov. 6 and 7). The other cities we visited were Seville (4 nights, with a day trip to Cordoba) and Granada (3 nights). Ronda, and in particular, our wonderful stay at the Parador, was the highlight of our trip!... more
We stayed in the Parador Hotel in Ronda from 6th to 8th November 2007. The hotel was good, the room excellent and the staff very helpful. Checking in was very efficient and we parked in the hotel car park at a charge of 17 euros per night ( a little expensive). We had been informed to reserve a superior room,... more
The hotel is in the prime location and the aspect is unbelievable - actually quite frightening if you look down !! We stayed in a duplex suite which was very spacious and had amazing views. The hotel was modern and rather plain. Breafast was ok. The service was fine, however nothing like what a great establishment delivers. more
Excellent Hotel. Park your car and walk to to town. Ask for a room with a view of the gorge! The extra money is well worth it. You will want to spend some time just sitting on your balcony enjoying this view. Country vistas, steep hills. Fantastic, but not a place for children. Would be bored. Definitely an adult place... more
The parador at Ronda has a magnificent location and view. The building is also nice, but our room disappointing. Old furniture, crappy view (of front of hotel), defeinitely not 4+ star. Towels for the pool are complementary, but the pool is very small and very cold. At poolside you do have an amazing view of the Ronda bridge though. more
Awesome hotel with a spectacular view. Highly recommended for a visit to Ronda. The only disadvantage is that some of the reception staff speak poor English and their attitude is not so friendly. No smoking areas anywhere in the building. more
An excellent hotel. Very good restaurant with professional staff. Stunning location means most rooms have a terrace or balcony and tremendous views. Good quality finish and design to rooms and public areas. Rooms are large, plenty big enough for the sofa and two armchairs. Underground parking. more
Having read reviews on trip adviser I decided to book a surprise weekend for my Fiance. I booked direct with a travel agent in Gibraltar for a superior double room, B&B, for Sunday and Monday night. The price was just over £300. We got the train from San Roque, which was fantastic and a single fair was only 6 euro... more
Like so many , we wanted a room with a view of the gorge. We paid for the most expensive room ( about 340 euros per night without parking), presuming that this, along with our multiple e mail requests , would ensure we would get a room with a view of the gorge. We were astonished to be put into... more
