I stayed here in 2008. Cesky Krumlov is a charming little town and while the hostel has an antiquated homely appeal to it I found it, unfortunately, a little run down and dirty. The triple room was tiny and just outside of my room was a small lounge/TV area which is used at anytime of the night; cigarette smoke and... more

I loved this place and had the best time here. The air was cool, you could hear rushing waters outside and it was just magical. Super short walk to the old part of town. Great location, great vibe, great value for money. more

My boyfriend and I stayed in hostel 99 on friday 12th September and saturday night the 13th September in their private alchemist room. The first night we didn't cover the duvet with the sheet left for us but on the second night we did and we woke on Sunday morning at 6.30am with no less than 90 bites on each... more

We had a small double room with 2 single beds(we actually were expecting a double bed), the room was tiny and there was no were to put luggage, also floor quite dusty and dirty. There was a shared bathroom which was ok, but no matter what time you went for a shower the water was cold and we were there... more

We had a great time here in the off season. Positives: Very friendly staff and a nice sitting area to chat with other travelers. We stayed across the street in their newly renovated rooms which was well worth the extra money. Not only were the rooms spotless, comfortable and lovely, they were also quiet. All the college age backpackers stay... more

Fantastic youth hostel with great character, family owned and operated. The rooms, newly renovated and decorated with all original art by a local artist, are modern yet in character with the medieval buildings that typify the town. The restaurant/bar, owned and managed by daughter Barbara, is a great place to hang out and meet people or just read a book... more

Stayed at Hostel 99 for 2 nights as a stoppoff between Austria and Prague - it was a perfect downtime from the city. The family-run hostel is beautiful - newly rennovated. Prices were reasonable and service was incredible - the staff was always friendly, and one of the employeeds gave us a tour of the town. Easily one of the... more

I loved this hostel. I stayed there for 3 nights and arrived really late at night but they had left my key with the bar downstairs so I could still get in. It's a clean and cosy place, clean facilities, has security lockers for your valuables, internet, lounge/TV area and a nice terrace area outside. Despite being in the big... more

It was a wonderful stay. Hostel 99 is a charming place that would make your trip special and unforgetable. Sleeping in an old tower in the ancient walls of that little town, with such a nice people from all over the world.... And if you go in summer, take a swim in the river or a ride in the boats... more

It would be a shame to go to the Czech Republic ad not spend at least a couple of days at Cesky Krumlov. Hostel 99 is located in the town centre. Once a former Leper Hospital built in the 1400's is an antique piece to be admired like the rest of the town in such a picturesque setting. It is... more
