When we first arrived the owner sat down with us and gave us a map, showing us all the things to see around town, suggestions for where to eat, local entertainment that we otherwise wouldn't have known about, etc. All of her suggestions were great, and it definitely contributed to our positive experience in the city. I was emailed back that they don't take credit cards, but that in order to confirm the room, I had to email them or call them 2 days before my arrival. For being a hostel, Kumlov house is superb! The whole town of Krumlov feels like you are on a movie set and so this was the icing on the cake. Not sure if there was a mix up or what but when we arrived we had to sleep on the floor in the loft and share a room with a couple in a double bed. It was very uncomfortable - the floor was hard and socially sharing with a couple who are in the same bed was awful. We complained... more

We stayed in a private double room with a shared bathroom. It was a bit stuffy, but fine, and the bed was comfortable. It's a little outside of the medevial heart of the city, but we didn't find that to be too bothersome. Stayed here for 2 nights in the en suite room downstairs & was definitely one of the best hosteld we stayed at on our interrailing trip.
