If the look of this towel doesn't bother you, you'll probably be OK at Pension Lobo. To be fair, which is more than what I can say about their failure to help us after suddenly cancelling the shuttle we had booked (see my posting in the Cesky Krumlov forum), the darker parts are probably due to being moist from drying... more

We had been biking on the Danube River and wanted to head north to Cesky Krumlov. Due to time constraints and hills we used this shuttle. It is far superior to trains and buses will not take the bikes. They are very accommodating. You need to be sure to reconfirm your reservations a couple days before hand. There is a... more

Good location and convenient to walk around the city. Near the castle and the staff is helpful. The breakfast is also good. Yet, there is no lift and u need to pick up ur baggage to climb the stairs. more

Perfectly located in the heart of Cesky Krumlov, about 5mins walk from the town square. We stayed in a 3 bed room, which was big and very clean. It was quite basic but all that we needed. Breakfast was great, a nice simple European style breakfast with cold meats and cereal. The only downside is the lack of wifi, but... more

This pension was very well located in the old part of town. Our room was clean and came with a double bed, good-sized bathroom with shower, windows and TV. The common area where breakfast was served was also clean & the food selection was similar of other Central European penions we have stayed at: cereals, yogurts, breads, cheeses, jams &... more

The staff at Pension Lobo were sweet enough but the pension was just too spartan for us. For example, there were no sheets on the bed - just a spongy zippered covering that hadn't been washed in quite a while, if ever. The water heater is only sufficient if you take a marine shower. I didn't know that the first... more

Imagine intense yellow walls and nothing but IKEA furniture and you have our room at the Pension Lobo. The Pension is conveniently located in town, within easy walking distance of everything, but not on a main tourist street, so I imagine it’s a bit quieter in the summer. In March everything was quiet! There is no breakfast room, the breakfast... more

Good location just outside old town so less busy. Get a room courtyard side for total night silence. Attentive staff. Best coffee at breakfast on our trip. Good value more

There isn't much to Pension Lobo: the rooms are plain but clean, the staff are pleasant without being effusive, the facilities are perfectly fine without being amazing. Breakfast is very Teutonic (lots of ham and cheese). The major stand-out is the landromat, the only one in town. It's a perfect budget place if you're only staying for a few days,... more
