My husband and I spent 2 days plus New Years Eve in the enchanting medieval town of Cesky Krumlov. When we booked the Pension Sv. Hubertus way back in Oct., we had wondered if it would be far off the beaten path--but it turned out to be just perfect: down a long set of stairs right to the Old Town square-- a 5 minute walk. The proprietess, Vera,spoke better German than English, but she was friendly, helpful and generous. Our room was spacious,clean, and warm; large bathroom (with electric warming towel rack!) the beds were sturdy and offered great sleep. Breakfast was simple, but satisfying--and the breakfast room was quite charming. All in all, our stay was Lovely-- quiet and comfortable. more
