We spent five days at the Carlsbad plaza during this year's film festival, which is a great time to visit this buzzing spa town. The room was large and comfortable, if a bit spartan. New built Hotel, preferably occupied by Russians - and taht´s the way you will get treated there! Horrible service, underqualified staff (no English language skills), unfriendly staff, prices in comparison to service and amenities: far too high! 5 stars? Never - a long way to those! Just returned from a wonderful week in Karlovy Vary, staying at the Carlsbad Plaza Hotel. The hotel has its own spa - swimming pool, jacuzzi and several different sauna/steam rooms all available free to residents, plus special procedural programmes available at reasonable fees. Stayed in the Carlsbad Plaza for 3 nights in May 2006.
