This is a gorgeous hotel renovated within the last year or so. Rooms are big, bright, airy and beautifully decorated and the breakfast is very good. The staff needs a bit of training up and the centralized computer reservation system could use a bit of work, but the spa, room and ambiance more than made up for several faux pas. more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Humboldt Park at the end of January. The walk from the train/bus station was only about ten minutes. We took a bus from Pilsen and walked along the river to the hotel. The service was very friendly, and the bellman was always helpful and cheerful. Beautiful hotel, great service. Everyone spoke english or would try until they helped you. Taxi from bus station was about $15 US and the train station is also a very close taxi ride (BTW trains are a great way to transport, ignore the recommendations not to take the train.) We have just come back from our trip to the Czech Republic and I feel compelled to write this after our upsetting experience. We were so looking forward to staying at what looked a beautiful hotel. This is a fabulous hotel, located overlooking the river in the heart of Karlova Vary. It has been renovated in a very sophisticated fashion, the furnishings are beautiful. We checked in early and our room wasn't ready so they advised us to go to the spa and pool area to relax. The pool overlooks the city on the 6th floor.... more
