In spite of a terrible entrance, this is actually a nice hotel. The rooms are fairly large and in excellent condition. They are quite clean, and the bathrooms are spotless. The staff is most accommodating.

There are a couple of problems, however. First, the first impression upon entering the hotel is bad. You are confronted with a shabby carpet on a short flight of stairs. Then there is no elevator. Finally, there is some street noise which may be irritating.

All in all, I would recommend this hotel. It has a great location, just a few steps from the tourist area of Plzen (insofar as Plzen has a tourist area).

By the way, when in Plzen, do not miss the brewery tour, and consider the Patton and ethnographic museums as well.
