This was our first visit to both the hotel and Prague itself, and neither disappointed. On arrival into Prague, we took Bus 119, which leaves from outside the Arrivals terminal. It will take you to the Nádraží Veleslavín metro station on line A. The metro will get you to the City Centre in approx. 20 mins (8 stops I believe to Florenc station, where you need to alight), and you can use the same ticket. The Botanique is situated literally across the road as you come up from the Florenc metro station. You can't miss it. 🙂 On arrival, even though it was only a shade after 11am and Check In is mid-afternoon, Jan on reception was incredibly friendly, helpful and told us we'd be able to get into our room in approximately 30 minutes. He checked us in and then gave us a voucher for two free drinks in the hotel bar, while we waited. Possibly the earliest beer I've had in my life, but it hit the spot after having already been up 8 hrs. 🙂 We were then given our room keys and unpacked. We upgraded to a Premium room, and it is well worth the extra, as we had a great view from our balcony on the 8th floor. The hotel team had also left a little surprise for us in the room, as they knew it was a special anniversary for us, while we were in Prague, which was another nice touch by them, which we greatly appreciated. The room was very spacious, everything felt brand new, and the bathroom was excellent, with a great and sensible layout. The hotel communal areas are also excellent, and the bar area is a really nice space. Lit well, and free flowing through into the dining area, so there's a real feeling of space there. Breakfast was also good, with plenty of choice, including all the elements that make up a full English, for those that want that. There was also a large selection of breads, cakes, fruit and other hot dishes, including a pancake maker. For those that want to make themselves a cup of tea in the morning before going down to breakfast, there's a Billa Supermarket right across the road, and an Albert one 100 yards down the road to your left, so you can pick up milk and anything else you want from either. I'll not dwell on every detail of our stay but suffice to say, we loved Prague and will definitely be returning in a warmer month in 2024 and there is only one place we'd be looking forward to returning to stay in. From the start to the end of our stay, everyone we dealt with on the front desk, bar, breakfast and in housekeeping were super helpful, friendly and efficient. Everybody has a great smile on at all times and genuinely want to help you out, however they can. A special mention to Tomas Bodlak who we had been in discussion with prior to our stay who recommended the upgrade to the room (it isn't much 🙂), which was a great shout and was super communicative throughout our stay, to ensure everything was as it should be. In summary, a fantastic stay in a fantastic hotel in a very interesting and historical city, which we will most definitely return to. Thanks to all the team at the Botanique who contributed to this thoroughly enjoyable stay and we'll be sure to return in 2024 to further explore the great city of Prague and enjoy the excellent hospitality of the Botanique team. …
