Great location right in the center of all the best brass in Prague. Enough tuna fish to shake a stick at. Wow, the designer of this place was smoking some serious steve irwin sh*t when putting this place together. All that's missing is Shere Khan and Mowgli. I kept thinking Ant and Dec were gonna jump out and make me do a Bush tucker trial. Lovey staff at the hostel. Everyone is dressed as lions and elephants. I'm still here as we speak, so please don't place a turd in my Toblerone.

When we first arrived to Artharmony in Prague I thought the hostel was wonderful (besides the shared bathrooms, but I thought that was just me). Me and my family of five lived in the room called Fredirich and everything felt good until we went to bed, I had just taken of my lenses and put lotion all over my face when two of the family members discovered tens of bed bugs in their bed, since that’s when they are showing up. I never in my life thought I would experience bedbugs and certainly not in the beginning of our two weeks trip in Europe. To sum it up: we had to switch hotels in the middle of the night and we all panicked. We were afraid of bringing the bedbugs with us to the next hotel and terrified to not find any other place to stay. When speaking to the owner he first was truly sad in the beginning, but when talking to him more it truly just felt like acting. I got a feeling that he knew about this problem, because the room was crowded of them, but that could just be me. We got the money back (+50 dollar), but when bringing the keys back to the hostel he was in my opinion unpleasant and started talking manipulative about his leg and his old mum. It felt like he wanted us to feel sorry for him, and we were (of him and us) but that doesn’t make us not want the money back! He promised to hire a company to take care of the bedbugs, but please check the bedroom before - and especially the room called Freidrich. We ensured that we didn’t bring any bedbugs with us on our journey, but I still have 16 bedbugs bites on my body.

Must be one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to. The club/disco downstairs kept us awake all night, the room didn’t had any curtains so it was bright light as soon as the sun came up and the beds were made from plywood. Then wanted to take a shower but the glass screens came off and the water would not drain. After expressing our complaints the manager he just didn’t care and said this was normal. Never going back here again!

My friends and I stayed in “Brandon” and were absolutely taken back by the entire room. It was spacious, comfortable and really nicely decorated. Really close to the town centre by walking or getting a tram so location was great also! we just wish we got the room with the swing:/(( still cool and fun though

We arrived quite late at night and were welcomed but a nice night receptionist who showed us to our room. At first glance the room was nice and seemed clean. When settling down for the night I woke up to see the bed covered in bed bugs and we are now all covered in bites. Luckily we were only staying here for 1 night so did not make a big deal out if it but made staff aware. It does seem they have had this issue for a while and have done nothing to solve it and don't seem bothered about getting rid of the bed bugs.

I have been in Frederik room, but almost every single room has a touch of somewhere in the world, it could be a Sabana, forest, etc... It is very nice and a different experience. It is very central, 10 min by walk to one of the main squares. However, they aim that they have 24 hours concierge but it is from 8am to 20pm.

Thank you very much for your beautiful words. We are very pleased that you enjoyed us in ARTHARMONY and it is for us to confirmation that we have made our pension with heart for the people. Our reception is normally open for 24 hours, but for technical reasons we could not take it up a couple of times. We are sorry for this :)

We arrived arounf 10pm at the place after an online booking made 5 hours before... When we got there all was dark and despite ringing the bell, calling their number and their skype nobody answered us nor they left/send a message to us. So at midnight we had to find another place after 2 hours trying to communicate with some of the staff... Really unpleasant experience and extremely poor and unprofessional behaviour. Avoid!

Response from Vladimír V, Vlastník at ARTHARMONY Pension & Hostel
Responded 14 Dec 2018

This pension hostel is so nice! Staff are super duper friendly! The price is so worth it. Located at Praha 2 basically in a walking distance to the the city center. Outside is a Tram line that you can use anytime you opted to go in the City. Will recommend this hostel and give it 5 stars!!

Stayed here during a long weekend with friends in Prauge. My first stay in a hostel had me a little worried by my mind was put to ease after we arrived at reception and was greeted by a nice fellow who politely took our details and showed us to our room, believe his name was Petr but I could be wrong. The room was to accommodate 4 adult men and did not disappoint, there were 2 shared king size sleeping quarters, plenty of storage and electrical points, a bathroom with a shower and towels provided. Our room was named "Kevin" This hostel is sited central to everything. There are lots of restaurants, pubs and shops near by, the hospital is over the back too and it's well within good walking distance to all the tourist destinations.

At first sight, the hostel seemed nice. We arrived late and were kindly showed to our room by the night receptionist. However, the next morning we found bed bugs in all our beds. Bed sheets where partially (??!!) changed, and later that day we were moved to another room and received apologies. Yet again, when we arrived in our room at the end of the day, also these beds were full of bed bugs! So in the middle of the night we were moved to a dorm room (by a kind receptionist), but there was already a family staying there who were told it was a private family room! In the morning the receptionist who was there during the day did not want us to leave and put up a theatrical show about how a previous traveller just before us must have brought the bed bugs to the hostel..... sure, how could there be bed bugs in at least two of your rooms at two different places in the hostel?? When we wanted to check out a night earlier and said we wanted our money back for the remaining night, he told us we needed to contact the hostel when we got home. Only after pushing him to reimburse us now (because keeping contact through email about a reimbursement would never work in our minds), he was willing to do so. Then he told us one night was 45 euros so reimbursing us 60 euros was generous, but we paid 180 euros for three nights (do the math, that's 60 euros for one night..). Although he was apologising, it never felt sincere. When talking about the bed bugs at the reception, he tried to silence us. We understand that it's not good for the occupancy of the hostel, but all guest (and future guest) have the right to know they are staying in a hostel full of bed bugs! We also felt he already knew about the problem days before, because some rooms where closed and the family who was staying in a dorm room was promised a private family room. On the day we were leaving, one of the closed rooms was open and all the beds where covered in plastic! In conclusion: bed bugs. Daytime receptionist lied about it, was pushy and insincere. Nighttime receptionist was very kind, tried to do the best he could and respected our choice to leave the hostel.
