The hotel is prefectly located, just one block away from Prague historical city centre. Breakfast is very good, you can eat jam and cheese, toasts, fruits, local patisserie, tea, coffee, youghurt, cereals and juices. The rooms are quite big and they are very clean. Serivce is good. This is a great place to choose if you want a budget hotel... more

We visited Prague during September 2009 and stayed in the Biskupsky dum. Our room overlooked the main square in front of the hotel (towards Karluv most) but it was never noisy. I was very impressed with the location. The room was comfortable, very neat and the bathroom fabulous! As it was my birthday, the staff spoiled us with sparkling wine... more

Forget the carping from elsewhere. This is a good, clean and characterful hotel in which to rest your weary head after days of soaking up all the delights of the Old Town with its mix of art nouveau, art deco, cubist and high baroque decorative styles as well as rivers of street music ranging from 20s Jazz to 14th Century... more

Hotel was straightforward to find and only took 45 minutes from airport. Jump on the 119 bus that leaves from outside the airport arrivals to the end of the line. Down to the tube for two stops to malostranska station and you can walk or get the tram 1 stop and down to charles bridge. I downloaded map from hotel... more

Forget the moaners. For the price paid the hotel is more than average. OK, cleaning and service needs more to be 4*, the same for the whole city I have noticed but, what do you need all that when you are in a magnificent environment just a step away from Charles Bridge, the Castle and the old town? more

Just perfect

We have just come back from a 4-night stay at the Bishop's House in Prague (two adults and two teens) and are absolutely delighted. It took our taxi driver a little while to find it but the wait was worth it! Only a 1-minute walk from Charles' Bridge, it is nonetheless a haven of peace and warmth ..... temperature outside... more

my husband and I stayed here for 3 nights mid december 07 and we loved it. I had stayed in Prague before in the 'new part' but loved this area so much more. The hotel was great, our room was in the annex and was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was the largest I have come across. The staff... more

This is one of several hotels run by the same company in the Small Quarter of Prague. All are old historical houses sensitively restored to give comfortable and characterful rooms - not luxurious but quite nice. It's not the place if you want spacious digs and stellar service like major chain or boutique hotels, but very agreeable and memorable rooms... more
