Its on the beaten path, but the traffic (foot) and noise are far less than what you encounter across the river in Old Town. The location is absolutely brilliant if you’re interested in history, located within a minute’s walk of the castle area & its many museums/palaces. We have stayed at Golden Star in July, 2008 for 3 days. The hotel is what you shall expect to be a 4 star hotel. The best is probably the location and the building itself as both are very historical. Staff was just ok and i would not recall any of them going an extra mile in providing the service.... more

Stayed here after booking with the three ostriches hotel, which upon arrival turned out to be overbooked. Beautiful hotel, huge room with nice amenities, next to the castle (no airco). Decent breakfast, 5 minutes walk down the hill to the Charles Bridge. more

We stayed at The Golden Star House for 7 nights. We stayed in a suite that was on the front of the building with beautiful views of Nerudova Street.
