were our first impression the entrance and public areas looked old well kept, but once we arrived and signed in it was all down hill, and food/restaurant was awful as was the service. The rooms were old, dirty and generally shabby. you will need to ignore the hookers and lookie lookie drugs sales directly outside from after around 6pm, apparently... more

Stopped at hotel Evopa with a group of 6 friends in April 2009. Paid approx. £400 for 4 rooms for one night. The rooms themselves were basic to say the least. Very cheap rough plastic carpets, thin nasty looking pine furniture and a door into the room that would take no effort to open even if locked. The toilet/washroom was... more

To me, the best parts of Prague are the old, original ones. I found this hotel on Tripadvisor but its name (Hotel Europa/Grand Hotel Euvopa/Euvopa Hotel) seems to confuse databases. As I was there in Winter, I came without a reservation and walked up to the desk. There are many hotels nearby and I had choices. If you are looking... more

I really don't know what hotel some of the other reviewers stayed at but their comments bear no resemblance to my experience at the Hotel Evropa. I went there for my stag do in September 2008 with 14 other lads and we had 5 triple rooms with en suite bathrooms. The rooms were large and clean and only cost us... more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. My husband and I had a room without a bathroom/toilet, while aour friends' had a bathroom and was more expensive. The room was large but not very nice. The furniture is new but poor and there was dust all over the place. The toilet was close to our room but showers were... more

Okay....yes - the hotel is run down....however - it is loaded with history, ambiance and charm. Our room was huge (and the bathroom was also huge. We had a large bed, sitting area, lots of closet space and a bathroom the size my living room at home! I found it clean....just lacking some TLC. The location and view are great... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here in the summer of 2007 for 3 nights. It's a great choice for the budget conscious and for those who like to stay in places with a bit of character. Beautiful entrances, stairwells and hallways lead into basic and very large rooms. It reminded me of the pensiones one used to be able to... more

We arrived for a stag party 10 of us, the bus pulled up and at first glance we were all pretty pleased with the look of the hotel... this lasted till we had opened the front door. Now being away with 9 other lads on a stag do I wasn't looking for the same things I'd be expecting of a... more

We arrived in Prague via train and we were approached at the train station and offered accommodation at the Grand Hotel. When we arrived it looked lovely and we were pleased with the location. However we were given rooms in the basement and we had to share a bathroom with others along the corridor. At night a red curtain was... more

I only stay one night in this hotel and I agree with 90% of the reviews of this hotel. My main complains are the staff of the reception and dining. They were no nice and rude. The receipcionist lady did not know some places when I asked to her (very poor english) the directions to get them. The room was... more
