I agree completely that this is a true gem. Carnia couldn’t have been nicer – arranging for airport pickup and drop-off (a 15 minute drive), a tour guide and dinner reservations. Her English was excellent, but all the day staff members speak very well. They let me use the computer to send a quick emails without charge (though the keyboard is certainly different than one in the U.S!) The walk down to the metro was no problem at all. If you take a left at the street where you catch the metro, there is a huge mall just a block away and there are a variety of places to eat if you don’t want to go into town.

I thought the hotel was just lovely. The rooms were immaculate and quiet, except for some barking dogs. There was quite a bit of “spread-out” space. They had a shelf above the beds and one above the sink - always a plus. We were on the second floor so three flights up. My son’s room even had a couch! The hotel is set in a quiet area of Prague, so you could sleep peacefully with absolutely no traffic noise. Also no noisy plumbing, which makes a change!
The rooms were well furnished with everything you needed including a hair dryer.
It was extremely well decorated throughout, immaculately clean and beautiful paintings all over the place.
The continental breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate for us, but you could order from a menu at extra cost, and the food looked good. We never did have an evening meal, but the restaurant was always full, serving guests and the general public. The menu looked excellent at around average prices.
The reception staff were wonderful, speaking English fluently, and on the one occasion that the young man did not, he immediately rang someone to deal with our problem. They sorted out bus times on the internet for us, and when we lost a wallet( or had it stolen on the Metro) they took charge, sorting out all the help we needed in...
