Initially when traveling to Prague, my two friends and I had intended on staying at a Holiday Inn and when we realized how far away it was from the Old City we decided to find this place instead. It cost us about $150 for one night and we each had our own twin bed and shared a bathroom. All-in-All no... more

Stayed for 4 nights - very good. The hotels' 3 star rating is reflected in the available facilities - there are no lounges apart from seats on landings and common areas feel a bit unplanned. That said, however, the room was warm, clean and comfortable. We had a premium, "historical" room with ample space and an impressive door. No English... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in December for the Christmas markets. The hotel is very central and a great location from which to explore Prague being a few minutes walk away from the Old Town and Wenceslas Square were the markets were. Breakfast was decent. Poached eggs (which were very nice), bread to toast, a selection of hams and... more

We actually did not stay in the hotel but ate in the restaurant. The food is excellent, as czech as it gets. Prague has still many traditional restaurants that are very good but this is one of our favorites in town. Great beer and great atmosphere. The beer shop in the basement has an excellent selection of czech beer glasses... more

We stayed at the U Medvidku for the 2008 New Year. The room was cute and comfortable. The shower head was low but could be hand held. I almost always saw the hotel being cleaned. There is a computer with internet access that was very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful with an assortment of fruit, yogurt, meats, and cheeses. The... more

The location of the hotel is nice (a 5-10 minute walk from the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square), and the rooms are spacious. Unfortunately, the staff was a little rude, and they didn't seem all that interested in making our stay easier. I recommend this hotel, but I might look around a little more before booking here again. more

Just got back three days ago from Prague. I stayed at U Medvidku for 6 nights and I love it. The rooms are so spacious and clean. The Staff is wonderful, very helpful and professional. My husband and I love the brewery on sight, and the restaurant is great. We had free breakfast in the mornings and it was very... more

We stayed in one of the lovely apartments at the Medvidku. Very roomy 2 bedrroms -- one with a double bed and single bed, the other with a fold out sofa and 2 chairs, desk, TV. We were on the front of the building which was slightly noisy, but didn't really disturb us. No A/C but it was so chilly... more

The Pension U Medvidku is a nice little place to stay in Prague. The rooms all have hardwood floors and exposed wooden beams and rafters, creating a more "authetic" feel than you would get at hotels with more modern designs. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. The hotel is about a two minute walk from the old town... more

We stayed in U Medvidku in February 2007 for 5 nights. We were getting married in Prague and all our guests were also booked into the same Hotel, so we saw around 6 of the rooms. All rooms very very clean and very spacious, with the exception of the single rooms which were tiny. We booked a historic double room... more
