My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at House at the Big Boot. The family who owns this bed and breakfast were wonderful - very accommodating, hospitable, warm and friendly. They even provided an overview of the city (which was sooo helpful in planning our time in Prague) and suggestions for public transport on the day of our departure. Our room was spacious and comfortable - both of us slept wonderfully. And for us, paying for the stay with cash was a non-issue; hubby and I both understand that for a family-owned local establishment this often saves on other costs of running a small business. In total, we were traveling around Europe for two weeks. But the 3 days spent here were honestly some of the best and most memorable. Should we return to Prague in the future, we will be sure to stay at House at the Big Boot!

Property's Favourite Review
What makes the House at the Big Boot so special? Well, there’s the location, which is premium! Close to the Charles Bridge, many restaurants & bars, in the same hood as the German Embassy, and we walked back to it from touring the Cathedral of St Vitas. But, there’s also the amenities! Beautiful breakfast included in your stay. Available sodas, juices, beer and water, for a nominal fee. And of course, the staff! They were incredible! All are there to make your stay as comfortable and worry free as possible. And the room rates are more than reasonable. I give it 5 stars!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the House at the Big Boot. Our room was large and comfortable, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast served every morning. But the part of our stay that we enjoyed the most was the warm hospitality we received here. The location is also excellent, located in a quiet part of the city but an easy walk to historic sites, restaurants and trams for getting around. Highly recommend this establishment!

The location is within walking distance to the sights. While we were close to everything it was very quiet at night. The apartment is very clean and comfortable but best of all it has character! Adela was so friendly checking us in and helped me to order a meal. All our hosts were warm and welcoming. Anyone can book a hotel but if you want the true Prague experience you should at this special place!

Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Prague. Outstanding service and location. The rooms are large and this family run operation is the template for what all accommodation experiences should be like. Stayed a few nights before a long bicycle trip to Budapest and the hospitality team went out of their way to accommodate our bikes. Be aware of payment preferences though as they only take cash. I was fortunately waved away with a.... ''just transfer the money into our account when you get home'.....'comment from the manager. You don't see that level of trust too often these days. This was my second stay here, and it won't be my last.

We cannot praise this hotel, more, for location, welcome, help in all ways, and old-fashioned, comfort and service. The four days for the two of us could not have been more enjoyable and we have no hesitation in recommending it.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights, and we found the positive reviews completely accurate. Our room was spotlessly clean, the breakfasts substantial, & the location (just 2-blocks away from busy tourist areas) was much quieter than the chaos so nearby. Most important, though, are the people who work there. The owner is hands-on and a great guy, his adult son the same, and the other employees are long-term and like family. These folks genuinely cared about the quality of our visit. We loved staying here.

My husband and I traveled to Prague for the first time this year, and we were so glad we booked House at Big Boot. We loved the location, on the quiet embassy row in the “new” quarter as opposed to the very touristy old quarter. What a charming find! Our room was spacious and comfortable, overlooking the street. Daniel and owner Jann were extremely helpful guides, providing restaurant recommendations and helpful visitors’ hints along the way. We returned to their restaurant recommendations a couple of times! The breakfast scene was quite convivial, meeting other travelers was a highlight of our visit. House at big boot is really a gem and a great value, and we will book again for our next visit to Prague!

The stay was excellent. The family and staff are helpful and very friendly. They made great restaurant recommendations (Tast is not to be missed). Our room was very comfortable and the overall atmosphere was lovely. Definitely recommended. Very reasonable pricing as well!
