This was the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The building is a concrete monument that was the former headquarters of the secret police in Prague and still hs a communist feel about it - the only thing missing is the hammer and sickle
The main problem was heat - or more accurately the lack of it. It turns out that as the hotel was a former communist buidling that the heating is on a community loop system and only gets put on in October. I was there in September when the wather went down to 5 degrees C at night and no heat was available. The result was that I had to put on clothes to go to bed and then get up in the middle of the night in order to take a hot shower to warm up. In the end I had to change hotels due to the cold.
