I chose to stay in Praha 10 in the Dana Residence which is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. Very easy to get to at the last green metro stop (Skalka). Also very close to tram 22, which I preferred to take. This was my 3rd trip to Prague so I know my way around better now. I always get the travel pass at the airport, so travelling many times a day is no problem.

This place is very cheap, between £20 and £30 for a double. Near Skalka at the end of the grren line, it can be a bit hard to find on foot. It is definitely an experience, you order breakfast via a hospital type menu that you leave by the door and it takes a day or two to get it right as nothing is assumed. You get up, and breakfast is there, waiting for you at the allotted time. It's fine if you are on a budget, it's clean, rooms are quite spacious, but location and lack of human contact are the negatives. Nearby is a tram stop where you can get a tram direct to Dejvicka for the aiport bus. It takes about an hour, but is an interesting ride around Prague!
