Having booked to stay at a Penzion in Prague, myself and my daughter arrived to find it overbooked. Nevertheless they told us they had another penzion not far away and transfered us to a double room ensuite (instead of a shared bathroom) at the same cost and drove us there.
Penzion Kosicka was very clean, comfortable and inviting. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast tasty and filling. Expect a Czech type breakfast here, (ie. ham and cheeses, scrambled eggs with ham mixed, cornflakes, juices, tea/coffee). If you want western style meals check (not a joke) before you go.
Situated close to a tram line (nos: 4, 22, 34 and 57 during the night) that take you into town directly, quickly and efficiently or connect you to the underground.
The Kosicka is within walking distance of Prague city centre, we both did it and doesn't take long even at an amble. Reception is open 24 hours there is lots of information in leaflet form to browse through. Another tip is to buy a phone...
