We drove to Prague from Frankfurt and encountered heavy traffic on the way. Thus we arrived later than expected. We wanted to check in asap but our GPS (we even had 2!) couldn't find the hotel! We stopped by a shop to ask for directions (the Czecks were helpful and friendly) but even they couldn't find it on the map.... more

We stayed here for four nights in late August. This is a very good place to stay. It's clean, well priced and very well located for wandering around Prague although it is in a quiet street so you get the benefit of being close to the centre of the city without noise. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would... more

This is a beautiful residence. And I say residence as in the title of the place because it is NOT a hotel. Yes, it is beautiful, clean, quiet and secure, being surrounded by embassies. Yes, the staff are lovely and accommodating. But you should know that really it is just a guesthouse, bed and breakfast, not a hotel. The only... more

This Hotel was recommended to me by a close friend, who had stayed there in the past. I am very picky when it comes to Hotel accomodation, and with Appia I was'nt disappointed. It was obviously an old building completely refurbished to the highest of standards . The roof wood beams are left exposed, and a lot of the old... more

This is our second visit to the Appia and we have booked room 101 on both occasions. It is a ground floor room with doors opening onto a small private patio area. The room is huge with a fabulous bed, lovely shower room and hallway with plenty of storage space. The hotel is spotless, so well maintained both in the... more

We stayed at the Appia for 3 nights. It was very nice. Located on a quiet street just 5 mins from the castle, 5 mins or so to Charles Bridge, great location. There were some nice bars and small restaurants nearby too. This place really is a hidden gem, fantastic value. We had a large room with a king sized... more

I would highly recommend this hotel as it was charming, traditional, clean ,friendly, well located and quite. On our arrival I was a bit apprehensive about the location of the hotel as it was located on a quiet cobbled street. However we found that it was actually ideal as it is located just 5 minutes from the castle, 5 minutes... more

Our family accompanied my husband on a business trip to Prague last week. After a great deal of searching we found the Appia Residence, we struggle to find accommodation for 2 adults and two teenagers. We were given an upper floor apartment in the hotel with high ceilings, beams and views across to the castle and cathedral rooftops. Our apartment... more

I cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic hotel. It is in a great area - just a couple of tram stops away from the castle, but in a quiet street away from traffic. Our room was huge with entrance area, separate bathroom, separate bedroom and big bed. It was also completely spotless - the cleanest room we stayed in... more

I had booked a bargain at another hotel through a Prague based agency and had also booked airport transfers with them. The airpoirt transfer went without a hitch until we got to the hotel I'd booked. Bearing in mind we arrived on Boxing Day, the hotel we had booked explained that they'd only received our booking 3 days before and,... more
