after hearing some bedbug horror stories about the travellers hostel in prague we were a little bit worried about staying at the brno site. however, brno seemed to have little other options in the way of budget accomodation. hostel is very easy to get to from the station, just round the corner. not much to do in brno but we went purely to see the caves which were wellworth the visit. we were put in a large gymnasium with around 20 beds. wide mix of people in our "dorm", other small groups of young people like us and also some older solo travellers. beds were very basic, metal structures but thankfully without bedbugs! breakfast is included but really isnt anything special, bread rolls, cheese, ham and cereals - though this was much appreciatated as we were on a pretty tight budget.
overall, this hostel was fine for maximum 2 nights but i really wouldn't want to stay longer. yes it is cheap but if you can find accomodation for a few euros more then i'd go for that.
