Hotel Europa was opened in 2009 and provides its guests with 15 private internal parking lots and 45 spacious rooms divided over 4 floors of a wonderful building in the art Nouveau style. Every room of the hotel is peaceful, bright and equipped with all the amenities to satisfy the modern traveler's every need: high speed internet connection, satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar and telephone service. In 2010, 30 contemporary artists, of Czech and Italian nationality, were invited to enjoy the experience of cohabitation inside the hotel and reflect upon the subject of hospitality. As a result, the hotel is transformed into a great artwork and becomes a unique meeting point for art and tourism.

Advantages - location - pretty close to the city center, good calm area - small hotel – not too many guests - cozy rooms - decent breakfasts – for its price - friendly personnel trying to help in any situation Drawbacks - “tired” interiors – it seems like most of the rooms require some renovation - problems with AC which was critical for us in Brno in June (30+ C outside) - lack of flexibility from the hotel’s management side I need to explain 2 last points. We were in Brno in June 2023 because of health treatment and didn’t know how long it would last, so we booked 6 non-refundable days in this hotel. We specifically chose hotel, not Airbnb, because we were familiar with local summer and wanted to have a room with AC. However, when we checked-in, it turned out that AC in our room doesn’t work which we hadn’t being told. Then it turned out that there was a big ACs replacement in the hotel at that time (without any notification during or after booking). We managed to get another room on the second night, and at the same got information from the clinic that we may go home after day 3. Via Booking we asked for partial refund because of the inconveniences with AC and partly because we checked-out after 3 nights while paid for 6. After that , I experienced 3 or 4 months (!!) of correspondence with Booking and the hotel management which from the very beginning was ready to refund but always had some technical problems, and in the end just disappeared. Lot of waisted time. Strongly do not recommend, as, unfortunately, with all the advantages I mentioned above , general impression is negative.

Room 002. At the back of the property, on the ground floor, looking out over the carpark. Whilst a room overlooking the street may have been nice, I was only sleeping in the room as I was on a business trip and out all day. Rather surprised there was no tea / coffee / kettle in the room facilities in the room. Despite hanging my towels in the radiator every day, they were changed for fresh everyday... The room was quite dim, being as the window looked out onto the carpark and was surrounded by other 4 -and 5-story properties. The furniture was a little "old" and warn, and the wardrobe needed a firm push to close. There was also a mildly damp / musty smell in the wardrobe... I got the feeling that Rm002 was an overflow room and not used that often as it was not on a oar with the phots of other rooms that I had seen on line prior to booking! However, the breakfast was good, the reception staff excellent and the location very good. Good bars / restaurants close by and only a 10-minute walk from the centre of Brno, World I stay again? Yes, for the location, but I'd ask NOT to be in Rm002 but to be in one of the upper floors. WARNING - Taxis: Got a taxi from the Railway Station to the hotel. Hailed at a rank etc etc. Charged CZK 500- for the trip which was excessive. No meter in the cab, cash only and no receipt... The cab that the hotel ordered for me to take me back to the station was CZK 200-, accepted card payment and gave a receipt. That is not a reflection on the hotel but be aware!

Located just a short walk from centre of Brno & various bars/restaurants/attractions. Staff were polite, breakfast was very good & car parking (additional charge and must be reserved in advance) was a real bonus as we were traveling by car. Would stay again

We stayed one Night in the "Hotel Europa" and we haven't regret it! The Location is perfect, very close to the old Town (10 Minutes to walk). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and (although it was on the streetside) calm. The interiour was very cozy and reminds to the early 20th century (chandelier, old furnitures, etc.). The Breakfast was good, too. Only the beacon was very tough and therefore not good. Otherwise I wondered, that they had only Instant coffee . A Parking lot is in the Backyard.

Pro: · It has a great, central location, and yet it is very silent. They take it seriously when you don't throw the towels on the floor and don't take it to the laundry, while in many hotels they just wash the towels every day, despite their written notification about caring for the environment. Con: · They LIE when saying they have vegan options at breakfast. This was the only reason I chose this hotel, but they have exactly the same breakfast as everywhere where we vegans can ofc eat smth, but then all hotel s could say they offer smth. In reality they only offer not forcing you to eat animals.... Then I pointed this out and they said you have to signal in advance, I did and next morning they provided a ridiculous extra thing: dairy free oat meal powder. Again, I am okay with hotels not offering anything special for us, they should just not lie on their profile. Also, they twice told me very politely in the reception that they would fix the lamp in the bathroom of my room, it did not happen. This is very irritating when they pretend your request matters, while they could not care less how you enjoy your stay. When I pointed this out, I got another room, but still I have the feeling they do not care too much about their guests and probably there are better hotels in Brno.

If you travel to the Czech Republik and looking for a clean, quiet place, working desk /internet, hot tea and coffee, and home-style breakfast(vegetable, meat lover, fat -free, sweet lover, coffee or tea drinker). The hotel has its place for parking if you rent a car. Hotel "Eropa" is a good place to stay for a short time. The rooms are spotless and quiet. The location is just 10 minutes walk from the center, reasonable price for the room and services, friendly personal, and safe location.

Very friendly welcome . Good size clean room . I was in room 103 and the hotel sign outside the window floodlights the room at night so if you can’t sleep with the light on then avoid this room . I stuck the pillow over my head . Good selection of food and drink at breakfast regularly topped up by the very busy staff . Some of my fellow guests seemed to be lacking manners and etiquette at breakfast shoving in the way and hogging the toaster but I coped!! Great quiet location I was attending the Blaze Bayley gigs at melodka and it was about a 15 min walk and I felt safe walking alone at night . I would definitely visit again 😀

We returned to the Europa for a two-night stay following an excellent experience there in 2018. Check-in was quick and easy and our room this time was on the top (fourth) floor up in the roof of the building. This meant we had no window but two skylights (fitted with blinds) allowed plenty of light into the room. The room was clean and quite spacious, with basic furnishings and a modern bathroom. It was slightly annoying that there was no powerpoint anywhere near the small desk in this room, so electronic devices had to be charged in less convenient spots in the room. Wi-fi was very stable and fast throughout our short stay. The location again worked well for us, we love this quiet residential neighbourhood and the excellent Tri Ocasi vegan bar/cafe across the road is a huge bonus for us! Sadly the hotel breakfast continues to have very limited vegan options, really just some pieces of fruit. We were again very happy with our stay at this clean, comfortable and quiet hotel just a short walk from the centre of Brno. For the price we paid (just 54 Euros per night), it continues to offer astonishing value for money.

The hotel's location was good - right outside of the walled city and the staff was friendly. However I have experienced two problems. Firstly, we were given a room without foreign channels. This problem was quickly solved as the friendly receptionist offered us a new room. However, we the WiFI connection was not working so we had no access to the internet during our stay.

This is a sweet little place in a quiet part of Brno near a pretty park. I thought it was very good value but the best bit, apart from the friendly, helpful staff, was the fabulous breakfast, with a huge range of foods for all tastes. So, the hotel Europa is highly recommended, especially if you have little kids.
