Visited Kromeriz for some top class dentistry at a fraction of British prices. Stayed three nights in the Domov at a total cost of £70, including continental breakfast.

Room was enormous and everything seemed brand new, including the traditional furniture. The large ensuite bathroom was equally immaculate.

The day I arrived there was a young girl on reception who spoke English but for the remainder of the time I only met the owner or manager and the lady who served the breakfast coffee, neither of whom appeared to speak a word of English. I actually ended up speaking German, a language where I have perhaps 100 words.

Not really a hotel as we would normally understand it. Most of the time there was no one around and the room key was used to open the front door.

Very peaceful location within two minutes walk of the main square and the UNESCO world heritage sites.

My only complaint was that the breakfast coffee was luke warm.
