Centrally situated, clean and friendly. We were upgraded to an apartment, which was huge, although it only had a shower, no bath. Limited English spoken at reception and in the bar, with the bar all too eager to shut by 10pm, or 9pm on the Sunday.
Beds very comfortable, well up to the usual Best Western standards.
Wifi on all the floors, ask for the password on reception. Don't expect much help if you can't get logged on, though. In an emergency there's a PC with internet connection in reception.
Bar menu a bit limited, especially if you're a vegetarian. Most of eastern Europe seems to regard vegetarianism as an illness so get used to surviving on fried cheese and chips. And do expect to see hoards of men in camouflage gutting freshly-shot wild boar if you venture into the countryside.
On the plus side smoking is still rampant, so you can re-create the days before it was banned in the UK if that's your thing. Try the local slivovice (plum schnapps...
