The best thing about Pepperlang hostel is that it is cheap and close to the city centre. Restaurants start off the waterfront promenade just one block from the gang plank. Relaxing after a busy day on the front "porch" you have a perfect view of the river and the medival crane.

The included breakfast is basic but good. They give you orange jucie, coffee/tea, three slices of bread you can toast if you want to, butter and cheese/marmelade.

The room we stayed in had 2 bunkbeds and a couch that could be pulled out to make a third bed, table, chair and wardrobe. The floors are carpeted but clean. We had a view of the river and could see yachts, pirate ships and small ferries go by. I hade expected some noise, but it was much quieter than some city centre hostels I've stayed at before. No gulls or foghorns.

The manager/owner(?) didn't speak english although he understood a bit, but his young staff did. They were all very friendly even if they didn't know... more
