I was very pleased with my room on the 12th floor. Good free internet connection was very helpful and bathroom both modern and a pleasure to be in (sad but true that not all hotel bathrooms are anywhere near this good). more

A very lovely refurbished hotel close to the train and bus depot. At first given a room with a single bed about the size of a large closet but when I requested a change I was moved to a fair sized room with a queen bed. We were much cheered up on reaching the hotel having been ripped off by a taxi driver from the airport - should have taken a number 210 bus to the main bus/railway station which is only a five minute walk from the hotel and costs less than £1 for the journey! The location is good and the room had recently been renovated. The breakfast buffet was good but not surprising. This could be a good starting ponit to explore the old city. more

The Mercure Hevelius Gdansk Hotel is located just at the "border" to the Old town. Its only take about 15 minute to walk down to the water front, and only 10 minute to the old Town. The hotel is in a great location, and affords lovely views of a very pretty city, but the renovations that are going on did ruin an otherwise pleasant and unobtrusive stay.
