We had no strong complaints about this hotel other than the fact that it was significantly overpriced at over E200 per night. There was no porter available on arrival, no tourist information in reception (we were advised to go into town to the tourist information Bureau). The breakfast room lacked both quality & supervision. The general ambience of the hotel... more

I stayed at Hanza hotel during summer and that was one of the biggest problems. My friend and I were given a loft bedroom without air-con! And it was absolutely boiling hot, so imagine what we had to go through... Rooms are clean and tidy and beds quite comfy but the decor is not stunning. And for nearly EUR 200... more

We stayed two nights in early July. We chose a room with canal view which was nice, but very noisy. Our biggest complaint was temperature in the room. it was too hot and never comfortable for sleeping. While they rooms indicate they are air conditioned, it did nothing to cool the room. Alternatively opening the windows didn't help either as... more

I only stayed here one night, but am impressed so far. Very nice size room, especially for a European hotel. The bathroom is also a good size, complete with a bath tub. Large LCD screen television, but unfortunately only 1 English channel, BBC News! I had 2 twin beds pushed together to make a Queen size bed, very comfortable bed... more

the Hanza is a really mixed bag. Great location, right in the centre of the old town. the rooms are modern, clean and the beds very comfortable which is of paramount importance if you are staying for a long period (as i was) if you're lucky enough to get a river view room you will be treated to a great... more

This modern hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Gdansk's absolutely charming Old Town, overloooking the scenic river - ask for a room with this view. Our room had an oversized window looking onto this gorgeous scene (across from the maritime museum, with old ships moored in front). The spacious room was nicely fitted out with modern dark... more

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Hanza Hotel in September on a month-long tour of Eastern Europe. We were delighted with the locaton of this hotel. We had a junior suite overlooking the river or canal. The view was wonderful. The room was divided into a sleeping room and a sitting room which was plenty of room... more

This hotel is perfectly located and most rooms have a stunning view on the wonderful canal. However, the interiours are rather of a medium quality and can not justify the above-medium rates. more

The Hanza Hotel is written up as one of if not the best hotel's along the Polish Baltic Coast. The hotel is fine, but it probably has not been at or near EXCELLENT status or 3 or 4 or 5 - star status for decades (if ever). The location is great, the hotel is so-so at best. The staff is... more

The Hanza has an excellent location, close to the old area of Gdansk and on the waterfront beside the Maritime Museum. Our room was at the back, overlooking an ordinary (but quiet) street. The hotel is described as "luxurious" - to us it seemed to be of, say, 3 star standard, but maybe the suites are more special than the... more
