We stopped in the Dom Muzyka last September for 5 nights. We were extremely surprised how nice this hotel was...after a good 30/40 minute drive (our driver went quite fast as well!) from the airport, the hotel suddenly appeared! On first impressions, the Hotel appears to situated in a slightly run-down area-don't let that put you off. The locals were... more

I stayed here over Easter 2006 with my boyfriend and my brother. Location is great, just 5 mins walk to the old town and nice and quiet. It's part of a music school, so the corridors are decorated with music references, and occasionally you can here students at the other building practicing the flute or similar, which is quite nice!... more

This is a pleasantly quiet place to stay in a great location. It is simple to cross under the road to take the streetcar into the commercial part of the city, or to walk to the old part of the city. The restaurant had a nice breakfast selection. It serves other meals, though we did not use the opportunity -... more

We stayed at Dom Muzyka for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. It is part of a music school, hence the name, and is housed in a lovely looking old building. We were in Room 306 which was on the back of the building. Although it overlooked a busy dual carriageway, it was a quiet room when the... more

Just recently visited Gdansk for the first time, & we enjojed our stay in Dom Muzyka! It was ideal for the location of the old town & good reach for sight seeing! Booked this hotoel via bookings.com having read decent reviews of it on this and other sites and having never been to gdansk before. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the main town, and while the area is not the nicest, with a busy road and high rise flats, it is not unsafe and the hotel grounds themselves... more

This pleasant, recently developed hotel was a great find (recommended by a Polish-friend-in-the-know). A short walk from Gdansk's wonderfully scenic Old Town, the hotel is in an elegant 4-storey 19th Century building. Though simply furnished, everything is spotless, perfectly functional and well designed. And it provides great value for money. The restaurant on the lower level is attractive, and provides... more

The Dom Muzyka is a strange "hotel". It occupies two wings of the elegant old music school that is situated two hundred metres to the south east of the old town zone. It doesn't look like a hotel and it doesn't announce itself to the world. It's like arriving at some kind of nineteenth centuruy institution for the confused and... more

Looking forward to a trip to Gdansk I spent a fair bit of time researching the best place to stay in the city. I was swayed by the very positive reviews found on trip advisor and booked the Muzyka. We were disappointed to find the hotel in the shadow of high storey flats which dominated the local area. On the... more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights after reading good reviews on this website. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 10 minue walk from the Old Town area of Gdansk. We arrived at Gdansk airport and took a taxi there which took about 30 minutes and cost 50 Zloty. I cannot quite put my finger on it, but... more
