Having stayed in the Hotel Faltom in 2007 we also visited this Hotel for a meal which was excellent. On that basis we decided to book for four nights in November. Our first problem was a lack of response to e mails. We have family in the town so in the end they booked it for us.
Our rooms were very modern but lacked a mirror in the bedroom (only in the bathroom). The rooms were cleaned every day but not to a great standard. A sink was just wiped down and glasses we had used the night before were not cleaned.
The breakfast was very poor by English standards. They ran out of toast on the first day with an hour left and was very much geared to the Continental customer. On our last day we needed to eat at 7am (when breakfast was supposed to be served) but the place was deserted and we left hungry.
Our biggest complaint, and one which means we will never stay there again, was a Disco that carried on in the restaurant until 3am. All or requests to turn the volume down failed and... more
