Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

International style hotel, felt more like a working conference type of place than a holiday. Very quiet in September. That was perfect for us. Excellent location for all that the town has to offer. Superb location in fact. Parking on street. Service with a grimace and surprisingly unforthcoming with communication and friendliness. Back of hotel is currently a derelict wasteland, the front is a beautiful old restoration.

Beautiful building, nicely decorated. I have enjoyed comfortable and relaxing one night stay. Comfy bed. Excellent value. Friendly and nice staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location and nice views from top rooms. We tried to stay again but it was fully booked. I would stay again on my next visit to Gizycko. I recommend.

The hotel was one of the larger ones in town. It was about five minutes walk from the lake, which made it reasonably convenient. The hotel itself was basic. The room was spartan but the bathroom was fine. The carpet could use a bit of cleaning/refreshing. The food served for breakfast was OK, as was the service. Not a bad choice for the small town but there were strong competitors around.

I recommend the hotel for tourists and commercial travellers. I had the room facing away from the street. It was quiet and spacious. It also had s big bath which was great. Breakfast was excellent and there is the option of buying a cappuccino if you'd rather not have the brewed coffee. Staff spoke English and were friendly. The free wifi was excellent. There is private parking out the back for 30 zloty a night. The hotel is in a street with other buildings of the turn of the century undamaged by world war 2. It is also s short walk to the lake, centre and water tower.

The biggest issue was no aircon on top floor in 28 degree heat! Friendly staff, lovrly breakfast and ok location. The lake is a little unspectacular and there is a lot of "tat" around the area ie: fair ground.

Stayed here for a business trip. Very accommodating and clean. Impressed with the rooms. One draw back if one the front side. Curtains are very sheer and don't fully block out the street lights. Room 101 is right about the patio and a lot of smoke comes into the room if trying to get fresh air flow. Overall a nice, clean place to stay !

Our last pit stop after a 3-week road trip through Poland brought us to the charming lakeside town of Giżycko, situated in the beautiful Masurian lake District in NE Poland, between Lake Mamry and Lake Niegocin. Hotel Masovia was our accommodation of choice, situated close to the lake and in walking distance to the alluring waterfront. The room was very appealing and classy and the hotel's restaurant, beautifully decorated and cosy served amazing food, including their famous Pierogies. The hotel service was beyond reproach. We had to leave early in the morning to do the five hour drive to Warsaw and therefore missed breakfast; but the hotel staff prepared two wonderful packed lunches for us and we felt completely taken care of. This hotel is also just 17km’s from the famous Wolf’s Lair (see the film Valkyrie with Tom Cruise), which is all the more reason to visit this incredibly beautiful part of Poland. We will definitely recommend Hotel Masovia.

I stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Masovia as part of a road- and sightseeingtrip including the Wolfschanze. The hotel is in the center of Gizycko, a medium sized town with more then enough amenities for travelers. My room was on the ground floor. It was a large room with high ceilings. It even had a large balcony. The room was very clean. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. I paid around 35 euro per night including breakfast, what a deal! I guess if the tourist season starts, prices will rise, but even if they double it is still a bargain in my opinion. The lakes, swamps and the history give the region a mysterious vibe. I will definitely return in summertime!
