We were searching fairly late in the evening for accommodation in Oswiecim and our sat-nav came up with the Kamieniec. When we arrived, no-one there could speak English and we couldn't speak Polish, so we were quits! but with bits of German and waving of arms, the very helpful staff accommodated and fed us very well indeed. We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2004. The hotel was surrounded by greenery and the room was adequate and clean with a small bathroom with a shower. The lady at the front desk was very nice, although she and the rest of the staff cannot speak English. Since I could speak Polish, I could communicate well, and she... more
