just wanted to write a few lines about our 2 night stay in this hotel. it was early july 2009, our polish friends were getting married and the wedding was held in the Noma Hotel. As polish myself I've never been to Promnice which is not far away from Tychy, a silesian town (some may know it as Tyskie beere comes from there). You can easyly get to Tychy from Katowice or Krakow by train or bus (the second option not recommended as polish bus trips may be a harsh experience) and than get a taxi to the hotel. Shooting Residence is situated by Paprocańskie Lake and surrounded by beautiful woods. It was build in XVIIIth century and renovated a few times since. It still has a lot of old athmosphere... and a gigantic collection of stuffed animals as well as other hunting trophies. Wedding itself was an amazing experience. There was no comunnicational problems (as my partner is Irish): all staff has a great level of Shackespeare and Wild's language. We were very sad to leave only after 2 days... more
