My friend and I stayed 3 nights at the freedom hostel. The location was great. The bus from the airport (292) drops one road away from hostel, so very easy indeed! Stayed at Freedom hostel for 3 nights, and was really happy with the whole experience. The 4 flights of stairs before you reach the floor of the hostel is a killer, but works were in progress to install a lift while we were there. Room was compact and basic, but everything we needed. I stayed at Freedom Hostel for two weeks in July 2008. Cons (none of these are deal breakers in the least, just to be aware): - 95 stairs, no elevator. This wasn't a real problem for day to day, but one must be mentally prepared to pull luggage up to the fifth floor (4th in Europe, 5th in the US).... more
