As always checked this hotel out on trip advisor first. After seeing some of the other hotels in Krakow, either in very busy streets or 1960s ugly, the Grodek was lovely. Close to old town and walking distance to the Jewish quarter and rail station. Excellent breakfasts, friendly helpful staff. Rooms well decorated (except could have done with another bedside table-only thing we could complain about). White company toiletries which smelt very nice and thick bath robes. more

This charming hotel is just a block away from Krakow's main square, which is perfectly charming as well. The rooms are European-sized (small) but nicely appointed and immaculately clean. We enjoyed the breakfast fare and on our day of departure, a generous box-breakfast was prepared for us to eat on our early train to Prague. more
