We stayed at the Pensione Dafne in Zakopane Poland in September 2008 as part of a tour. Whilst it says it is a Pension, it is quite a large building - more like a hotel. The rooms were probably decorated in the 1970's or 1980's which was nicely kitsch. The main thing is it is clean and comfortable enough. Our room had a TV, and a view of the woods and a stream. The beds were a bit strange - we had two single beds which looked like couches.
The breakfast was fantastic - really good (hot and cold buffet). It was close to the centre of Zakopane - a short 5-10 min walk. If you are on a budget, this is a good place to stay.
