We really enjoyed our stay at the Sosnica. It's about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Zakopane, so near enough to walk to all the restaurants and shops, and yet set in a quiet back-road so you can't hear the crowds on the main street, which is busy, loud and increasingly drunken as the night progresses.
The room was spacious, attractive and clean, with a little balcony. The reception staff spoke excellent English and were knowledgable and helpful. It was a shame that there was no lift and bell-boy service was sporadic, but for anyone less mobile you could always request a ground floor room and there are ramps on the sets of stairs required to get there.
They have a guarded car park which is not too expensive - a car is a real plus if you want to do a lot of walking in the Tatras as it allows you to travel to different starting points.
