Stayed at The Polonez for 4 nights and had a twin room on the 10th floor (Room 1028) overlooking the Old Town Buildings and a GRAVEYARD! Wasn't as spooky as I thought though. We got a taxi which cost 25zl but you can get the L line bus to the train station then get bus 68 which stops right outside... more

We paid roughly £30 per night for a twin room. Granted, from the outside the Hotel certainly looks like something from a communist, bygone era, but we found the rooms to be very clean, very comfortable, and the hotel was well appointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helped organise taxis etc to and from the airport. Only 10mins walk... more

We were in Poznan for a big conference, and every hotel was booked months in advance. We were grateful to get this "four star" hotel, but by American standards, it wouldn't deserve more than 2 stars. Despite some updates (new carpet?), it just seemed so dim and dirty. Breakfast was okay. Dinner in the restaurant just okay. The staff in... more

The polonez is a big hotel probably built in the 70s or 80s. The furniture has not been updated since then and is in a very used, shabby condition. Service is very unfriendly, breakfast and restaurant ok but not great. I was there during the climate conference and prices were ridiculousl high, and absolute rip off. The location is soso,... more

I have just returned from Polonez Poznan. Very small unclean rooms and bathroom/toilet are so small and even you can not turn around(I did upload some images) Food in the restaurant was ok but high priced. Some staff in the reception, were friendly and helpful. When settling the bill they charged me a higher price than I agreed even though... more

Absolutely no problems with the hotel. They've possibly read the comments on this site, as there are now always 2/3 people at the reception desk, and service is always very prompt. Yes, the single room was a bit narrow, but if you're only using it as a place to sleep, it's perfectly adequate. No air-conditioning? Try opening a window! The... more

The room we got to our family (2 adults and 3 children) was very big. Although the children had to share a sofabed we liked the hotel. The breakfastbuffe was wide-ranging and rich. It was only a few minutes walk to the old town. more

What a disappointment - I'm not the complaining type but I had to write something about this place. My room was small (12ft x 6ft) and the walls and carpet looked really old and dirty. The bed was bearable but only just. And the bathroom, it was in need of a decent shower, as I could only manage to get... more

The hotel was very clean and tidy, the room was large warm and all facilities worked ok. Breakfast was good value, the only down side was there is no bar you have to register in the casino which is built into the hotel. more

We purposely booked the cheapest half decent looking hotel we could find because we were short of money - and so, we were willing to deal with the consequences! We were pleasantly surprised! The room itself was better than we expected for the price, furniture was a bit outdated, but everything was clean and comfortable! The room had twin beds,... more
