I stayed at this hotel recently for a week and found it to be well organised in terms of breakfast- which was constantly replenished with good quality breads, yoghurts, cereals and eggs. A superb location with pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms are now looking very tired and are in need of refurbishment. Some have had a makeover, but the bathrooms are still dated. There is a good variety of food for breakfast, but it is the same each day and this gets a bit monotonous after two weeks! more

We had a room with a balcony and lakeview and it was great. Sure the furnishings need updating (plastic orange lights etc) but the view and balcony more than compensated. Room 336 a bit small and basic but clean, great balcony view of lake. Comfortable bed, and despite overlooking road, got a good night' sleep - everynight. Having use of the Grand Toplice swimming facilities & thermal pool was a great bonus. Staff were friendly & helpful. more
