Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Ilma and Jernej (Jerry) were so friendly, hospitable and helpful when I was ill on holiday. They added to the experience and made my stay at the hotel so memorable. I was overwhelmed with kindness. Lots to do in Bled and surrounding areas, great recommendations of places to eat and activities to do from hotel staff. Denise (Oakhall holidayer)

My daughter and i booked into Hotel Jadran for a week's stay in September. We read all of the negative reviews but felt that, for the price, they were potentially a little harsh so decided to risk it. in all honesty, for what we paid for the stay it was perfectly fine and would stay there again should we visit Lake Bled a second time. We had a double lake view room (classed as double but actually 2 single beds pushed together so ideal for us) which was a decent size with a perfectly functional bathroom with shower over bath. The balcony was pleasant enough with a table and 2 chairs. It was clean and basic...what more do you need when you're just sleeping there! We had a fridge but no coffee/tea making facilities which would have been good. As it was a lake view room there was road noise so you do need to be aware of this. It was ok during the night but the traffic starts fairly early so you don't get much of a lie in unless you take ear plugs. There was no noise from inside the hotel/other rooms. Breakfast was ok. Yes we've had better but in hotels where we've paid much more. There was bread, pastries, fruit, cereal, cheese and meats and hot plate with eggs and sausage. Sufficient. The coffee wasn't the best but it was hot and strong! There was also a decent range of teas and juices. The free to guests car park out front is handy though they do fill it up during the day by allowing non guests to park for a fee. That said, the attendant did always find us somewhere to park. It's a bit dated admittedly but you get what you pay for and at the end of the day it's somewhere to sleep and it was clean. What else do you need! Take the 'terrible' reviews with a big pinch of salt if you're more about the outdoor adventures than lounging in a shiney hotel (and in case anyone is wondering...yes, we've done 'shiney' too. There's a time and a place).

Really pleased with this hotel. We needed a balcony with a view over the lake, a bath and easy car parking. This ticked all the boxes. Huge bed and a balcony with seats looking directly out into the water and the castle, watching The sun set. The room was huge and it was a delight to rest my legs in the bath rather than just a shower. The 6k walk around the lake starts right outside your front door. All staff were friendly and helpful - they made up our room early when we arrived 1 hour before check in. Very kind. Breakfast was good - plenty of fruit, cheese, eggs etc Parking was right outside and there is an attendant as you have to pay 10Euros if you're not staying at the hotel. The hotel is quite old in style and the lift moves very slowly but this is a small inconvenience. I would happily stay here again anytime.

Never again would I book this hotel, arrived at night and initially thought it was run down but this probably applied to ever other hotel . Upon seeing daylight I soon realised this was not the case and I appeared to have booked the oldest looking run down hotel in all of bled ! Advantages to this hotel : 1. View was pretty spectacular (but other hotels that were part of the same chain of hotels and nicer also had the same view) 2. Reception staff were very nice (but I realised they all work and rotate around the same ‘chain’ of hotels as the jadran so you would get the same hospitality elsewhere) 3. Croissants were amazing (until I saw one morning them bringing them in store bought so I could’ve just got them elsewhere) 4. Bed was surprisingly comfy (although the single beds are a bit smaller than your average single bed) Disadvantages 1. The cleaning staff are another level of rude ! (I was woken up at approximately 7:45am every morning by a 2 second knock on the door before they just let themselves in, twice I left the do not disturb sign on my door and twice they just let themselves in anyway. I had been to a wedding so got in at around 3am , at 7:45 sharp there she was standing at the end of my bed whilst I was still sleeping asking me when she could clean my room, after politely saying that I didn’t need it cleaned she still just stood there asking me questions with the do not disturb sign in her hand! I was sleeping in the dark, I had said no multiple times and I had the door not disturb sign on the door so frankly this hands down ruined my holiday and any chances of me giving this hotel more than 2 stars !!) 2. The decor of the places was like something post 1940s, red/green tiles on the wall, dust and stains all over the floor and drip stains on the wall that I don’t even want to know where they came from 3. The bathroom door was broken, as was the patio door and the wardrobe door, so it’s a good job that the cleaners never came in whilst I was having a shower otherwise we would’ve both been in for a surprise ! 4. The website advertised ‘air conditioning’ which was lovely given that I travelled in 31 degree heat in August, but was bitterly disappointed when I turned up to find that it was actually just a desk fan on a chair!

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a room on the first floor. I say this because the rest of my family were on the top floor in the middle of the summer. No A/C. They were about to book another hotel in the middle of the night because it was so hot. The staff was great as well as the breakfast. They just need to update the rooms and pour a little more love into the hotel.

Stayed in this hotel for only 2 nights and I was glad it was not longer!! The only good thing was the breakfast, rich and variate. The rooms are shabby, a lot of dust, so hot you can bearly breath and the solution for the heat is a ventilator! The 3 stars were ok 30 years ago! Surely the hotel needs a full renovation and complete redecoration.

I dont know in which century this hotel got 3*, but definately not in this one. Old carpets, old windows (couldnt really open or close), hidious decor. It felt very dirty to me, dead mosquitos on the wall, terrible bed. Do not recommend. Only advantage - location.

We came with a travel group. Some traveled alone and others in couples. I traveled with someone else but wanted two separated beds. We were the only ones given a room with zero view. Staff was able to solve it after some talk in a nice way. We had the best views ever! Room was so spacious, big private balcony terrace with chairs and table. Bathroom was very big and clean as the rest of the room. I'm from Spain and the bathroom looked like in the 70's with all those tiles. I thought it was funny. Some people might disliked it but it was a clean place with everything in excellent working condition and clean. Beds were very comfy. Excellent wifi internet. Walking distance from free beach to swim and centre of town. If you take shuttle bus from beach nearby, it will take you to main train station and bus station....plus other sites for one euro each ride. It is only a seasonal shuttle though working in summer at least. Cheap places to eat and also expensive nearby in commercial plaza north of hotel. It is the best and cheapest hotel with the best views money can ever buy in Bled!!

Worst motel out in the way they treated our group. Six couples were given single bed rooms after paying for a double. Once we made a stand 6 double bedrooms appeared. Would never recommend this hotel.

A very basic hotel. To say the hotel was dated would be an understatement. We had a bath which was a positive! We ended up calling it the shed by lake Bled. Very narrow room we had to sleep in a line in single beds.
