Keleti Hostel is a small hostel near the Keleti train station. It has two dorm rooms (10 beds each), a living room, dining area and kitchen plus several bathrooms. I chose it because it's literally 3 minutes from the train station and I had some late and early departures.
The dorm room is pretty basic - just bunks and mattresses and they supply you with sheets and a pillow. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Lockers in the rooms to store your stuff and you get a lock. There are supplies in the kitchen and a few leftover food items. I believe the Internet access is just the owner letting people use his computer but I could be wrong. He also had a washer and dryer - don't know about the costs involved. Tons of brochures and maps around and the owner is happy to answer your questions. The crowd at the hostel was mostly young backpackers - friendly and not loud. At the time I stayed there, the price was about $12 a night, which felt about right.
