We stayed at this hotel in January. After a 4 hour trek looking for hotels, it was getting late. I couldnt believe it when we got to Kurlturinnov. Turning up there was a Art private view in the Foyer, walking through the buidling was impressive, with some repairs still to come the gothic architecture is fantastic. The hotel were very... more

Spent one night at the Kulturinnov after 5 nights at the Hilton across the street for a business conference. There were several reasons I really liked it. The location is dynamic, right in the heart of the Castle district. Across the street from Matyas Cathedral. Within walking distance of good restaurants and several museums. I agree that if you are... more

If you are looking for a first class American style hotel, keep looking. If you want to experience a unique place this is it. Our room was spotless as were our linens, right down to the lace doilies. The staff were very helpful and responded immediately to any requests. We were lucky enough to be there during the Hungarian Folk... more

As everyone has said, the location is good. The hotel is just not nice. Rooms are small, dirty, and smell. The staff was very friendly and I was only there 1 night so it made it bearable. If you really want to stay in that area check the Hilton or Burg which are in exactly the same location. more

The location of this hotel is great for seeing the castle, but is therefore quite a hike from the restaurants and night-life in Pest. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was sufficient (cereal, bread, meats and cheeses). Our room could have used much improvement. The bathroom had a moldy shower, a hole in the wall, peeling paint, and... more

Don't get me wrong, the location is very nice and there's some charm in staying in such an old building, BUT I wouldn't stay here again. First of all, staying in the Castle District is not all it's cracked up to be. At night there is NOTHING up there, not even that many restaurants. It's not easy getting to the... more

We loved it. It definetly was just the basics but for the price and location it was the best. It's very close to all the attraction on Castle Hill but quiet in the evening since most of the nightlife is on the Pest side. more

Very shocked when we arrived to see our "budget" hotel nestled in between old churches and castles and a funicular railway to take you up to the castle district in which the hotel is situated, stayed for three nights and although the rooms are very basic for the price they have all you need. If your looking for a hectic... more

The location is unbeatable but unfortunately the hotel is in very poor condition. The hotel has a Soviet era feel to it. Our bathroom floor had a dangerous hole in it! The entry and lobby carpet was thread bare and dirty. We changed hotels after one night of our planned four night stay (the first time we have ever done... more

The Kulturinnov is not your typical hotel, but that's just part of its charm. After all, how often do you get to stay in the former Finance Ministry? (I was there in November 2004.) The beds are comfortable, the showers warm, and the breakfast fine. What makes the place great, though, is its professional, courteous staff and unbeatable location, which... more
