We travelled from Vienna to Budapest by hydrofoil, passing parliament buildings gazing in awe, never imaging that we would be virtually opposite with huge picture windows. Just back from a four-day stay at the Hotel Victoria in Budapest. The decor and furnishings are bit tired, the towels are thin but... you can forgive anything for the unobstructed view over the Danube to the Pest side. Staff is very helpful.. Breakfasts are excellent. more

This hotel is right on the Danube, rooms have a view of the Parliament and Chain Bridge, tram stop in front, a short walk uphill to Fisherman's Bastion. Clean rooms, pleasant maid service in rooms, breakfast buffet included, efficient front desk people. Rooms are good size with international tv channels. Great location! more
