This Hotel was good, but poor when you think is a Mercure one. The room was old and very small, it needed to be renewed. It is located a litlle bit far from the metro Station, which is bad if you want to enjoy the night in Budapest. I recommend a hotel more central, near the "Chain Bridge". However, the... more

The Mercure Duna is an adequate tourist hotel, which can be accessed easily enough from the airport by metro and tram, and is within striking distance of all the main sights as the No 2 tram passes by on its way towards the Parliament buildings (or national theatre in the opposite direction) and the Nos 4 and 6 trams take... more

The service at this hotel was so bad, it was shocking! During my entire years of travel, I have never encountered such discourteous and lazy staff. During our 4 nights at this hotel, our beds were never properly made, or room cleaned. Moreover, the staff at the front desk were unhelpful, and even expressed annoyance that we were actually requesting... more

This hotel is good for the price. The room and bathroom was very clean. The staff was polite and friendly, and they helped me with when I had questions. The hotel is facing the river but also a big road: My room was facing the yard = a quiet room. Was here at a conference in the city center. Although... more

I ve stayed there for 3 nights at September of 2005 with my cousin. The room was nice and clean althought the maids didn't understand thw word "pillow" when i wanted an extra one! At the reception the staff was little annoyed tha they had to speak to us in English(!!!) but besides that they were helpfull. The thing is... more

Great experience all around. Hotel has views of the Danube River, centrally located, staff very friendly and efficient. Though rooms are very small, will more than compensate with its amenities, restaurant, bar, large lobby, tourist information. Plenty of local restaurants, pubs, markets in close proximity. more

We arrived in Budapest and drove around looking for a hotel - I suspect that is why we didn't get a good price for the room, as we walked off the street. Because of the price, we only stayed one night. The room/hotel was modern and clean, much cleaner that other 2 star hotels. Felt like a 3 star room... more

As a part of my job I have to travel a regularly around Europe and stay manly in budget 3-4 star hotels. I am certainly not picky and always bear in mind the price of a hotel room before judging it. However, I do have to say that the Mercure Budapest Duna, is one of the worst places I have... more

Mercure Duna is a Very Nice Hotel, it is a Budget 3 stars Hotel, Very Clean, very good Breakfast Buffet which has it all. Very helpful staff, and the location is fine , regarding that the main Tram station is just in the front of the Hotel. Taxi's ar easy to get. The area are full of restaurants, and it... more
