Nothing to add - it is Intercontinental and you feel it. Great service, spacious, well equipped room. The only disadvantage is paid Internet (7eur / hour or 25eur/24h), fortunately I got it included in the room fee. The hotel as mentioned is located in great place, you can walk from here along Danube, take a ferry to see the city... more

Intercontinental is perfectly located next to Chain bridge. It has outstanding royal palace and Danube river view. If you would like to enjoy the beautiful view pay extra to get one of the rooms with Danube view, it is well worthed. Staff is friendly and helpful. Concierge desk advice for places to see (with a small kid) was perfect. Breakfast... more

Stayed here for a week for a business trip and then a little sightseeing on the weekend. Budapest is a beautiful city with great restaurants and this hotel gives you some of the best views available provided that you get a river view. The other side faces another hotel so not much of a view. The staff was very friendly... more

I can imagine I would have enjoyed the InterContinental far more if I had been staying in Budapest for a conference, and putting everything on a corporate expense account. As it was, however, I was visiting, with family, for leisure at the end of a very long and trying trip. Budapest is one of my favorite cities, and one I've... more

As this was a surprise for our wedding anniversary from our kids we did not know what to expect. We certainly were surprised when there was a knock at the room door and when we opened the door there was a member of staff with a bottle of champage from the management of the hotel to congratulate us on our... more

Many reviewers have already stated the fab views from this hotel but I have to really say that the views and location make this hotel a wonderful experience. We came over the may bank holiday and was very impressed with the knowledge and help of reception and consierge - both a great help! Rooms were large enough although bathrooms quite... more

We stayed here for three nights prior to a river boat trip and found the location to be fantastic. Had a fairly large room overlooking the Danube. It has recently been refurbished with soothing colors - gray, taupe, oak furniture, white linens. All amenities except no lotion or bath gel. Room safe, hair dryer, iron & board, shoe horn, flashlight.... more

We recently stayed at this hotel during a short stay in Budapest. I was honestly expecting far better service, since we stayed at an Intercontinental in Cairo and the service was excellent. The hotel is very well located by the Chain Bridge, and the rooms are comfortable enough. We reserved an average room, not a suite, so we were not... more

I scored a 241 offer off the priorityclub homepage, so I decided to spend my birthday here with my girl-friend. As part of the ambassador program we were upgraded from a city view to a danube view room. The room was - I think - on the fifth floor, of adequate size and newly refurbished. None of the tear and... more

Asides from having a great location, this hotel has very nice rooms, 3rd floor (room 320) in which is based my review. Right at the Danube with views to the Buda side. If you can I recommend to pay a little extra to use the "Club Lounge" They have great breakfasts and snacks with local wines and champagne during the... more
