Just spend 5 nights here. Had a small loft room on the 7th floor (lift stops at 6th!) but it was very clean and comfortable and quite private and snug with the Velux windows. We were only in Budapest 2 days and 1 night, but this hotel worked just fine. It is right across the street from the train station which made coming from the airport and getting around town a breeze. Nothing fancy here but a roomy room close to the train station. more

I arrived back from Budapest, yesterday and like most people I would say that the Golden Park is more like a 3 star, rather than 4 star hotel. Having said that, it was clean, with attentive, courteous staff and it's location, 10 metres from the metro and 50 metres from Eastern Railway station, made it so easy to get around.... more

The Hotel is rated as a 4 star but I can tell you compared to an Irish or English 4 star it was nowhere near it. More like a 2 star. The hotel is clean but very small and very basic. Bar is limited and shuts at 11 and the bar staff can be fairly rude. The Rooms are tiny... more
