We were only in Budapest 2 days and 1 night, but this hotel worked just fine. It is right across the street from the train station which made coming from the airport and getting around town a breeze. Nothing fancy here but a roomy room close to the train station. more

In total, an average experience. The hotel itself is a very decent one: clean, in a nice building, in a very good location for trips in and around the city. However... The problem I've had with it was its overall level of services and comfort. Some rooms (i.e the one we were given) are really tiny. The rooms aren't soundproof... more

I arrived back from Budapest, yesterday and like most people I would say that the Golden Park is more like a 3 star, rather than 4 star hotel. Having said that, it was clean, with attentive, courteous staff and it's location, 10 metres from the metro and 50 metres from Eastern Railway station, made it so easy to get around.... more

A disappointment. We booked this hotel from Australia before leaving home as we wanted somewhere nice to stay for Christmas. When we arrived we were given a tiny room which wasn't very attractive. The walls were very marked making the room look dirty. The position of the hotel was good as it was very close to the Eastern Railway Station... more

The Hotel is rated as a 4 star but I can tell you compared to an Irish or English 4 star it was nowhere near it. More like a 2 star. The hotel is clean but very small and very basic. Bar is limited and shuts at 11 and the bar staff can be fairly rude. The Rooms are tiny... more

This is a good 3stars hotel. The price/quality ratio is almost good. The city center is a bit far. more

We went to Budapest for a long weekend. First time there and we didn't know how central the hotel is or isn't. The hotel is just by the eastern train station of Budapest – the Keleti Pauladvair (or just Keleti PU). The red metro is a few steps from the hotel and is most efficient. In 10 minutes we got... more

Went to Hungary for a weekend and wanted somewhere central but value for money and got exactly what we were looking for. Booked through the easyjet website as far as I can recall. From the front door of the lobby, there are 15 steps to the metro (Keleti station) which in <10 min will take you to the river or... more

as mentioned above, this is not a 4* Hotel if you consider western standards, but it is right across keleti pu and most important: not dirty. the 700huf-bottle is a rip-off, the breakfast-buffet alright, the staff ok. more

Stayed in GPH in Budapest for 3 days as city part of holiday in Lake Balaton. The GPH is not a 4 star hotel. The room (Rm 529 Fifth Floor) was very small (a travel inn is 3 times larger) with a shower room, empty mini bar and the 700HUF water as mentioned in other reviews. The toilet dripped all... more
