Fantastic value for the money! Restaurant had the best gulyas I ate in Budapest. My wife and I needed to switch rooms to get a bathtub, and there was no problem. Great service, really nice, English speaking staff. I will definitely go back, especially for the gulyas! more

Lovely staff, lovely restaurant, good facilities but .... requested non-smoking room and the room stank of stale niccotine. Had to keep windows open (aircon didn't have remote control) the noise of the city traffic was awful and did'nt stop all night. Time for a refurb for this particular room I think .... more

I stayed at the Charles Hotel on regular business trips to Budapest and the last time was in July 2007. The hotel is conveniently located on the Buda side of the city (District I - Castle district).
